The Makeup & Wardrobe Departments are a true hidden star of the show with its elaborate collection of wigs, hair pieces, beards, bald caps, etc. Actors report first to the Wardrobe Department getting fitted into costumes and then come down for makeup as needed, then to the “green room” to be fitted for a wireless microphone if needed.
Complete costuming for 29 degrees of Scottish Rite are all authentic down to the sandals and shoes and is the most expensive wardrobe collection in Arizona with an average cost of $1500-$2800 per costume. One costume for the 19th degree performance alone is worth over $5000! Obviously, tremendous upkeep is required!
